State of Ohio, Hamilton County, ss.: In the matter of the Pension Claim No. 101.846 of Bernard Pichel, Co. C 74 Regt. Pa. Vols.: On the 28th day of December 1886, before the undersigned authority within and for said County and State, personally appeared Nanie Osbon, who, being duly sworn, states on oath that she is a niece of Bernard Pichel, and that very soon after her uncle came home from the U.S. Army, the next day after his returning he was quite feeble, complains of rheumatism and pains in his heart, and some throat trouble, he coughed badly and these troubles have continued each year gradually growing worse, at times he has been confined to the house with his troubles, a change in the weather particularly wet or cold weather, aggravates his troubles. From his return home, to date he has not been able to perform any hard manual labor and at this date he can not pursue his trade of cigar maker.
